Graduate Travel Grant Application

The Daniels Faculty Graduate Travel Grant provides registered full-time Daniels Faculty graduate students with a modest financial subsidy to cover a portion of the costs associated with optional travel related to Daniels graduate courses. This is not a need-based application and support is not guaranteed. Grants are issued as a reimbursement after travel is completed and required receipts and documentation have been provided. Grants will be assigned based on the availability of funds.

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements -

  • Full-time Daniels graduate students;
  • Registered in Daniels graduate courses during the time of travel;
  • Travelling during the term as part of a course for which they are enrolled.

Application deadlines:

UPDATE: Given that Global Affairs Canada has lifted the world-wide “avoid non-essential” travel advisory, as of November 3, 2021 university sanctioned activities abroad can now resume for U of T students for countries and regions that are listed at “exercise normal security precautions” and “exercise a high degree of caution”. Please follow the instructions and complete steps on for pre-departure well in advance of your travel abroad. If you are a graduate student and are required to conduct research in regions listed at “avoid non-essential travel” or “avoid all travel”, please contact to request a safety planning process. Please note that making this request does not constitute approval; rather you will work with an advisor to consider mitigation of risk and assessment of whether your travel can take place at this time. For undergraduate students, travel to these regions is not permitted.
